I know a lot of llama farms might not process their wool by sending off to a mill, but did you know there are people that will buy the "raw" dirty wool with second cuts, right from you, and you can get $1-2/ounce depending on the quality? So we are about to open our farm store and you can see it as an example of how you can market your wool and sell in the store.
We are Burnt Mountain Llamas in Virginia in the Shenandoah Valley. When we first got llamas, we lived near Charlottesville, and back then, there were more llama farms around us in VA. We visited a lot of those farms at the time before making decisions on what to buy.
